i have played rainmakers several times and like it better each time i play it.i will admit that after the first round and a dozen lost balls, i wasn't too thrilled. but the more i thout about it, the more i wanted to play again. it is the most strategic course i have ever played(includig tpc sawgrass). there are risk/reward oppurtunities offered on almost every shot, with a lot of t-shots not requiring a driver. if you like a no-brainer resort course, don't play here. but if you enjoy a challenge, like to think your way around a course and don't expect to shoot par, i highly recommend it. i am a 12 handicap and had no problem with forced carries, the longest of which is only 165 yards from the blue tees, and could easily reach all the greens in regulation. the service is top notch, without being snobish or pushy. greens are excellent and the fairways are comming back after a hot dry summer.

Played the back tees and found it to be a real test of golf without being unfair. Once the greens and fairways have matured (still just a year old when I played), this will be a fantasic golf course.
