From a strictly golfers point of view. This course is exceptionally well maintained. The fairways as well as the very fast greens are in good to excellent condition. Frankly I don't know how they succeed in doing this in this harsh climate. Living in FL, we had our eyes on playing this course for a very long time and now this dream came true. So incredibly unique, like playing on Mars ....
We loved it as an experience of a lifetime and we will be back for more. Given the chance, this course is much more then golf - play it, go for it with a gallon of water on the cart. The course will beat you up, it's a tough, tough course to play, even the par 3's are long, but the 7500' altitude will aid your distance (+20% in distance). Don't compare the T-boxes with normal expectations. The cart path is, oh boy at times resembling a dirt trail in the Bolivian mountains, and you wonder how these carts can do the job without four wheel drive, but they do. Make double sure your parking breakers are solidly engaged when parking. Kudos to the staff. BTW allow 5 hrs to play it. Say hi to Amanda at the restaurantat the turn and have the best burger you'll ever had.

Pure fun and dramatic, memorable holes. If you prefer classic golf courses, you may not like this one. There is nothing ordinary about it. My favorite of over 1200 courses played including about 70 that are or have been rated as top 100 courses. I've made the trip from Michigan to play this course twice and will go again.

This is truly a beautiful golf course in the desert southwest. Each hole has a unique design while the biggest challenge is staying in the fairways. The greens putt smooth, but the difficulty is reading them with their varied undulations.

It is really worth the drive to play this course.
