- We played 2 rounds at Taos Country Club in August of 2011. The course was in terrific condition. The best condition of any course we played this weeklong outing. Have to say it was the highlight of our trip.On vacation in Taos, four of us played 06-09-11. Their website advertised $62.00 m-th. When we arrived, they told us it was $82.00 because we were not members. They must be hard up for cash as not many people were there playing. They also had the driving range closed which wasn't on their website, nor did they mention it when I set up the tee time.
The course itself was in fine shape, but probably one of the worst marked courses I have ever played. Bring your GPS if you play here, because you will spend a lot of time looking for yardage markers. After a few holes we noticed the marshall bird dogging us. He finally came up to us saying a "constantly complaining memeber" behind us said we were violating the rules by having two players use the same clubs. When I showed him we each had our own clubs, I received little in the way of an apology, and that pretty much ruined our attitude for golf for the rest of the day. I cannot recommend this course. It is in good repair, but definately not an "$82.00" course.Course is challenging the pro shop staff nice and the bar
